Our Governance

The International Academy of Anesthesia & Critical Care (IAOACC) is governed by an autonomous academic council comprising nominated senior academicians, domain experts, and nationally and internationally recognized educators in anesthesiology & critical care. Headquartered in India, IAOACC functions as an independent academic vertical, supported by a strong institutional framework committed to health sciences and education. The Academy maintains complete functional and academic autonomy, with all strategic and academic decisions governed by its internal leadership and expert panels. While IAOACC maintains an independent membership structure—with its own defined benefits, academic privileges, and fellowship pathways—it is committed to active collaboration with national and international societies of anesthesiology & critical care. These collaborations may include joint academic events, mutual module endorsements, cross-recognition of training programs, and shared research platforms. IAOACC will also design and publish its own standardized academic modules, fellowships, and competency-based training programs. These may be offered as standalone or jointly endorsed frameworks, based on the needs of participating societies or institutions. All content development, accreditation, and endorsement processes will remain under the strict supervision of senior academic leaders and subject matter experts affiliated with the Academy. The overarching goal is to build an inclusive academic ecosystem that promotes standardization, equity, and global excellence—while respecting the unique strengths of partner organizations.
