Brigadier T Prabhakar is a distinguished anesthesiologist and critical care expert with over three decades of clinical, academic, and administrative excellence. A decorated officer, he is the recipient of the Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM) awarded by the President of India for his meritorious service in the Armed Forces Medical Services.
He served as the Vice Chancellor of the Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences (UPUMS), Saifai (2016–2020) and was the Director of the UP Rural Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (2006–2016), where he played a pivotal role in shaping the institutional infrastructure and academic growth.
Throughout his career, Brigadier Prabhakar has held prestigious roles across premier Armed Forces and civil medical institutions and has also been honored with the Singhal Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to the field of anesthesiology. He continues to inspire as a mentor and thought leader in advancing anesthesia and critical care education.
